We are taking surveys to determine what would be most helpful to small businesses and researchers concerning open source artificial intelligence (AI) tools and techniques.

There are a number of good sites that list AI tools and systems, but I have yet to find any sites that provide good community ratings and other feedback about the many open source tools and systems that exist.

With your feedback through the surveys, we will design and build a community feedback system to help you wade through the large number of existing AI tools and techniques around the web.

You may be wondering what I mean by "AI Tools." When I refer to "AI tools", I use the phrase in the broadest way. AI tools can be any type of language, component, or application that enables or builds upon AI applications and systems. Example tools are parsers, problem solvers, heuristic search algorithms, AI programming languages, knowledge representation tools, automated reasoners, ontologies, neural networks, and more. Example AI applications are natural language processing systems, rule-based production systems, expert systems, hybrid systems or any general system with AI components.
